Safe, Clean
Tree Removal

When a tree has to go, we remove it safely and efficiently with zero damage to your property. Fully insured, fully equipped, and fully professional.

When Does a Tree Need to Come Down?

We always prefer to save trees when possible. Removal is a last resort. But sometimes it's the only safe option. Here are the most common reasons we remove trees:

The tree is dead or dying and poses a falling risk

Storm damage has made the tree structurally unsound

The tree is severely diseased and cannot be treated

Root damage from construction or grade changes

The tree is causing foundation, sewer, or driveway damage

It's leaning dangerously toward a structure

A risk assessment rated the tree as High or Extreme risk

You need to clear for construction, additions, or solar panels

Fully Insured

Every tree removal job is backed by full liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage. You can download our insurance certificate directly from our website.

"Any company that shows up to remove a tree without proof of insurance is putting you at risk. If a worker is injured on your property and they're uninsured, you could be liable. Always ask."

Our Methods

How We Remove Trees Safely

Every removal is different. We choose the right method based on the tree's size, location, and what's around it.

Climbing & Rigging

Our climbers ascend the tree and remove it piece by piece from the top down. Each section is lowered on ropes to a controlled landing zone. This is the most common method for residential work.

Best for: Tight spaces, backyard trees, near structures

Crane-Assisted Removal

For very large trees or trees in extremely tight locations, we bring in a crane. The crane lifts entire sections straight up and over obstacles like houses, fences, and pools. Faster and often safer than rigging alone.

Best for: Large trees, over houses, limited access

Straight Felling

When there's enough room, we can fell the tree in one piece in a controlled direction. This is the fastest and most cost-effective method, but it requires adequate open space for the tree to land safely.

Best for: Open lots, land clearing, rural properties

Common Questions

Tree Removal FAQ

How much does tree removal cost?

Tree removal costs depend on the size of the tree, its location, and the complexity of the job. Small trees (under 30 feet) typically cost $500 to $1,500. Medium trees (30 to 60 feet) run $1,500 to $3,500. Large trees (60+ feet) or trees requiring crane work range from $3,500 to $10,000+. We provide free on-site estimates.

Do I need a permit to remove a tree?

Most towns in Connecticut require permits for removing trees over a certain size. Some towns protect specific species. We check your town's regulations and handle the permitting process for you.

What about the stump?

Stump grinding is included in most of our removal quotes. We grind the stump 6 to 8 inches below grade and backfill with the wood chips. If you want to plant a new tree in the same spot, we can grind deeper and remove the chips.

Can you save the wood?

Yes. If you want firewood, we can buck the trunk into rounds and leave them on site. For high-value species like black walnut or cherry, we can arrange to have the logs milled into lumber.

How long does a removal take?

Most residential tree removals take half a day to a full day. Very large trees or crane jobs may take 1 to 2 days. We'll give you a clear timeline with your estimate.

Will you damage my lawn?

We use ground protection mats and plan every aspect of the job to minimize impact. In most cases, the lawn looks great the day we leave. If any turf damage occurs, we make it right.
