Project Overview: ArborActive helped improve soil conditions around a young maple in Leicester, MA. Using our Air Spade to cultivate and aerate the soil around the tree and incorporate amendments recommended from a soil test, ArborActive created soil conditions that were more favorable for fine root growth and overall tree health. We finished the project by extending the mulch bed just beyond the tree’s dripline to help conserve soil moisture and keep soil temperatures down during periods of heat and drought stress.
