ArborActive’s approach is straightforward. While we offer a full suite of arboricultural service, we believe that the health of our woody plants begins with the environment they are growing in. Our Certified Arborists begin each inspection at the ground level, evaluating the conditions of the soil and the trees root system.
Trees and shrubs are adapted to grow in forest settings with healthy nutrient and organic material cycles. When we plant a tree in our landscape, we are planting the trees in and environment that is different than where it occurs naturally. One of the best things we can do is to create an environment that more naturally mimics our forest soils. We can learn more about what a trees need through soil and foliar nutrient testing, and amend the soil as needed to incorporate amendments and organic matter based on the trees needs.
