Project Overview: ArborActive was contacted to improve the aesthetics and form of the Eastern Redbud in Auburn, Massachusetts. The tree had been trimmed occasionally, though needed some structural pruning and thinning to help improve its natural form. The owner was concerned about uneven growth on one side of the tree and encroaching on the nearby gardens.

Project Details: Structural pruning of an eastern red to reduce growth extending beyond the rest of the canopy and reduce spread into the surrounding garden. We were also able to improve clearance over the lawn and a nearby bench and open up the tree to allow the owner to better see bird visitors to feeders in the tree.
